Being a Women’s Health Action Hero for 2014 has been a dream so far. The women I’ve been connected to through this organization are inspiring, to say the least. The online editor is still working to get all of our bios up and running on the Women’s Health Website, so as soon as it’s up I’ll share the link! 🙂

Although the free stuff they send me to try is uh-maze-ing….

(An outfit from Heidi Klum’s line of New Balance. The fabric is fabulously soft, and the colors are out of this world! This specific outfit is perfect for barre class, as it comes with a little skirt attached to the leggings. Check out the rest of Klum’s line for New Balance here.)

The most important part of being a Women’s Health action hero is my role in Run 10 Feed 10. Through a partnership with the FEED foundation, Women’s Health is making it possible to help fight domestic hunger; and this year marks their second annual 10-K race – Run 10 Feed 10.

When you register at, you instantly provide 10 meals to those going hungry in your local and surrounding neighborhoods. (You’ll also snag a fab, limited-edition FEED bag!)

If you are interested in participating in a Run 10 Feed 10 race, the dates are as follows:
New York City: September 21
Chicago: October 19
San Francisco: October 26

There are some Fun Run dates as well:
Denver: September 27 (Partnering with Boulder Running Company)
Boston: October 12 (Partnering with Marathon Sports)
LA: TBD (Partnering with Top to Top)

If you’d like further info regarding Run 10 Feed 10, please feel free to email me!

To help train for Run 10 Feed 10, Heidi Klum sent me brand new kicks; straight from her New Balance Line.

Thanks Heidi (& Women’s Health) for hookin’ it up!

HKNB | Fit is Chic

I have to admit, I laughed a little when I took them out of the box; they are nothing like what I usually wear. But, they are 10 times cuter on than they are off; and now I’m obsessed. They are lightweight, and have plenty of support. I wouldn’t suggest them for super long distances, but having them in my kick-mix for shorter runs has been perfect!

Are you training for an upcoming race? Perhaps you have some tips for me. If so, please share! Xo

Love, Mattie Claire
