If there’s one thing I’m really good at, it’s putting together some seriously weird snack/meal combinations. But weird or not, they taste good. So, don’t judge a meal by its weirdness, k?

My snack habits tend to change every 3 months or so, and right now I’m super into the little cherry tomatoes. See? So weird. But they’re so good right now! I keep a little package of them on the island in my kitchen. They’re the perfect little on-the-go snack.

Summer Snacks | Fit is Chic

My Favorite Summer Snacks:

1. One handful dry roasted, unsalted peanuts + one slice reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese – I don’t know what makes this combination so good? But OMG, it’s everything. Sometimes I get creative and roll up the peanuts in the cheese like a little burrito. LOL But, seriously.

2. Small bowl of 2% low-fat cottage cheese + one handful cherry tomatoes, sliced in half – My grandmother used to make this snack for my little sister and me all the time. I guess that’s why I grew up obsessed with it? Thanks, Granann! 🙂 Oh, and I like to add a hint of truffle salt to my cottage cheese. YES. Just do it.

3. One heaping spoonful of peanut butter + one palmful dark chocolate chips – It’s like eating a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, but only 10 times better.

This should brighten up your snacking slump, AND make your taste buds rejoice!
